While #4022 was the Definitive Conrail Blue E-8, there was another, lesser known example that also wore Conrail Blue, this being E-8 #4256, which received those colors between late 1977 and early 1978, and like most older Conrail Engines, it only lasted a couple years in service, being retired between late 1979-1980, and scrapped sometime after.
