ALCO C636 Demonstrators
(Model Originally made by Jan Henning Gettkant, Converted to trainz by N8phu, touched up by ThatMLWFan, with parts from JR and bogies by Nur of TCPS)
The last, and the most heavy-duty of ALCO 6-axle centuries, the C636 looked like a beast, and most likely operated like one, but didn’t exactly sell very well, with only a total of 34 built for the US, and 29 for the Australians.
The demonstrators meanwhile were tested across the US, with 636-2 being pretty notorious for being the problem child of the trio, but after the period ended, all three would end up on Morrison Knudsen to help construct the Libby dam in Montana and would later built the BM&LP in Arizona before all three would in Canada on the Quebec Cartier Mining Railway.
After this, two of the three (636-1 was scrapped before retirement) ended up in American soil once again under the ownership of 636 Leasing, which used them on the NYSW. (A very EMD Railroad), which later ended with both of them retired, and despite attempts of preserving the remaining demo units, they were both scrapped in 2015.
