Before I start, I’d like to give out a huge thanks to Jan Henning Gettkant for creating these wonderful models and allowing me to convert and release these to trainz, Vlad1917 for helping me out and providing his parts for these units and the following ones to come soon, and n8phu, for initially allowing me to kickstart these units with his own converts before moving on to doing my own conversions to release, I thank you three for all of this.

 

The first of the ALCO 6-Axle centuries, and with one of the most elegant designs, the C628 would find itself at home with several railroads, one of them being the Pennsylvania Railroad, which rostered 15 of these engines.

Their history was rather basic for most, if not all of the examples built, they were built for the Pennsy, became part of Penn Central, later became a part of Conrail, and retired by the late 70s-early 80s, and that was that, nothing really to write home about.

 

But there was no shortage of one-off liveries worn by several examples, with #6742 and #6748 sporting good old Conrail Blue, #6304 and #6312 with Penn Central’s Red Worm, plus many more in this pretty large pack.
